Lundbeck Foundation’s magazine out now
Knowledge is going to save the world. This is one of the reasons why we grant more than 500 million Danish kroner to biomedical sciences research every year, focusing particularly on the brain. And it’s why our new magazine is out today.
We publish the magazine to inform you about the outcomes of our investments and grants. However, another – and equally important – reason for issuing the magazine is to honour all of the exceptional scientists who are helping change the world through tireless efforts in their laboratories and their ground-breaking results.
There is an article about the winners of the 2018 Brain Prize – four leading European researchers who have given us invaluable knowledge of the basic mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease.
You can also read about how we work to elevate the next generation of neuroscientists in Denmark to the ranks of the world’s elite, and there are articles about artificial intelligence, health data and the Danish Research Institute of Translational Neuroscience (DANDRITE), where scientists are attempting to understand the brain at a molecular level.
