Reporting
Congratulations on your grant! It is important for us to follow the effects of the research we support, and we are looking forward to following your project.
As a grant holder, you must submit the report no later than three months after the end of the project year.
We want to ensure that our grants benefit both science and society in general and we therefore require the following:
Annual reporting
Reporting is done through the application system of :
- Status. The progress of the project compared to the outcomes and roadmap-to-impact described in the application, selected outputs of the project, and unforeseen events.
- Financial statement. The financial statement for the previous project year must be at least as detailed as the application budget, or a budget later approved by the Foundation.
- Budget update. The forward-looking budget must be adjusted based on the latest financial statement.
The reports must be submitted no later than three months after the end of the project year.
After the report is approved, you can request the next instalment.
Compliance
As part of the general terms and conditions of accepting funding from the Lundbeck Foundation, an annual reporting is expected.
By submitting a report in LANAS, the researcher formally confirms that the report is up to date.
If the required annual reporting by a grant holder is not submitted on time, the Lundbeck Foundation may apply the following sanctions:
- New applications from a researcher (either as a principal investigator or a co-investigator) who has failed to comply with the annual reporting may be deemed ineligible for review.
- If a grant is still active, further grant instalments may be withheld.

Exceptions
In some circumstances reporting will not be possible on time, due to e.g. parental leave, sick leave, etc. Grant holders have a responsibility to keep their research organisation, and the Lundbeck Foundation informed of any such changes.
What we do with the reports
Submitted data are analysed and used to report to the committees, the board of directors and the authorities on the impact of the Lundbeck Foundation鈥檚 support in research. The data enables the foundation to present the most up-to-date data for impact reports and for information for stakeholders and strategic partners.
It is vital that researchers return information to us on their funded projects so we can understand the short- and long-term impact of their research, thus demonstrating the contribution to the research environment and to society. Systematically collected reports will provide strong evidence-based support for our continued research funding.
Data submitted to the Lundbeck Foundation through LANAS may also be made available in an aggregated format through the Foundation鈥檚 homepage, raising the visibility of research to the public and potential collaborators.
