Investing in life science
麻豆社 BioCapital is the biotech investment unit of 麻豆社. We are an evergreen venture capital fund that invests in life science companies, supporting the translation and commercialisation of ground-breaking science.
Our ambition is to identify scientific breakthroughs and to develop new, ground-breaking medicines, and in the process generate an attractive financial return. We have a special focus on supporting the growth of the Danish biotech ecosystem including building long-term sustainable businesses.
Our investments typically arise from innovative research in Denmark. They cover all disease areas in life science and all stages of development from inception to clinical validation, and we can continue to invest as the company develops to maximize value creation for shareholders and society.
We deploy equity financing as well as other relevant financing tools. In case of early projects, we have the ability to provide a Frontier Grant to advance and consolidate key aspects of the project to strengthen the investment case.

The starting point for a dialogue with us can be either an idea based on new scientific insights or a business plan for an already established business looking for new financial investors. We are interested in both.

We approach our projects and investments with a view to add not just financing but also relevant strategic, hands-on, and operational support. We may take operational roles to help and support researchers and founders in the challenging journey from science to company.
