Sleep Well – Or Do You?
At Lundbeck Foundation, we once again turn the spotlight on the brain – the body’s most fascinating and mysterious organ. This Culture Night, we dive into one of the most essential yet often overlooked topics for brain health: sleep.
Only one night a year can you get away with skipping sleep – Culture Night. Every other night, sleep is indispensable. It strengthens the brain, keeps the body healthy and is vital for our wellbeing. Yet in a busy everyday life, it is often the first thing we sacrifice. Why is sleep so important – and what really happens inside the brain when we close our eyes?
This evening, you can meet consultant and sleep expert Rune Frandsen, who will be in conversation with journalist Louise Wolff to uncover the secrets of a good night’s rest. Together, they will explore questions such as:
- Why is the quality of our sleep so crucial for brain health?
- Can we sleep too much – or too little?
- What happens in the brain if you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep?
- And does the brain itself sleep when you do?
Look forward to an engaging talk that blends the latest scientific insights with practical advice, leaving you wiser – and perhaps more mindful of your own nights.
