Autism and ADHD – Understanding, Genetics and Opportunities
Autism and ADHD are complex neurodevelopmental conditions with many different expressions.
Please note that this event will be conducted in Danish.
Join us for a nuanced introduction to the latest research into autism and ADHD. We will explore the genetic foundations of these conditions and what current research tells us about their causes and development. You will also gain insight into ongoing research aimed at strengthening diagnostic practices and creating improved opportunities for support and treatment.
Autism and ADHD present differently from one individual to another. This event will highlight the considerable variation across the spectrum and examine how strengths, challenges and needs may evolve throughout life.
We will also address the barriers that people with autism and ADHD may encounter in everyday life – and how more supportive frameworks and greater understanding can promote wellbeing and participation.
You will gain insight into:
- Genetics and current understandings of causation
- Autism and ADHD as spectrum conditions and the diversity within them
- Supportive frameworks and interventions
- Participation and wellbeing
