R3tina: Visually capable 3D bioprinted human retinas
In this project, we aim to develop an advanced model of the human retina. The goal is to facilitate detailed investigations of vision-threatening diseases and possible treatments. Our approach combines sophisticated stem cell-derived eye models with 3D-bioprinting technology to create a light-sensitive model retina that precisely mimics the healthy human retina.
