Paracetamol Use in Pregnancy and the Risk of ADHD in Offspring: A Translational Study

Professor
Rigshospitalet

Concerns have been raised over increased neurodevelopmental disorders, and the use of paracetamol during pregnancy has been suggested to play a role. Using basic and clinical research, we will take a translational approach to determine if there is a causal link between paracetamol use during pregnancy and disrupted neurodevelopment, with a focus on ADHD. With this study, we aim to provide a new understanding of the origin of ADHD and the safety of paracetamol during pregnancy.
