Metabolic imaging for functional studies of the brain

Postdoc
Technical University of Denmark

Rie Beck Olin, Danish Technical University, has been awarded a Postdoc Research Grant worth DKK 2.600.000

This project will introduce HP鈥揻MRS (hyperpolarized functional magnetic resonance spectroscopy), a novel brain imaging technique focused on metabolic activity. It can provide insights into how our brains respond to stimuli, potentially transforming clinical diagnostics by offering valuable metabolic information related to brain function and health. The project aims to unlock this new technology鈥檚 full potential by addressing technical challenges in human studies of the visual cortex as starting point.
