Anders Toft, Neurogenetics Clinic & Research Lab., Danish Dementia Research Centre, Copenhagen General Hospital, has been awarded an Early-Career Clinician Scientist research grant by the Lundbeck Foundation worth DKK 2.217.969
Anders Toft's research project focuses on hereditary dementia, aiming to identify central disease mechanisms and clinically applicable biomarkers. The project is based on a large Danish family with frontotemporal dementia. The approach involves a combination of cerebrospinal fluid analyses and investigations of brain cells developed in the laboratory from skin cells of family members with and without the disease-causing mutation.
