Reporting

Congratulations on your grant! It is important for us to track the effects of the supported research since we want to ensure that our grants benefit both science and society in general.

We therefore require grant holders to submit a status report after each project year.

All reporting is done through the application system of .

If you have questions or experience problems with reporting in LANAS, you can find additional information here (will be uploaded by the end of September 2025). You are also welcome to contact us by e-mail

Reporting for any Lundbeck Foundation grant consist of:

After receiving the grant letter: In LANAS you submit payment details (bank account information). You must also confirm the budget for the project and if needed submit a revised budget.

After each project year: A report package must be submitted no later than three months after each project year.
If the project has a duration of one year or less and consist of a single instalment, only one (final) report is submitted.

Each report package contains the following elements:

  1. Scientific status of the project. The reporting is done in a template in LANAS specific to the grant type.
  2. Financial accounts for the preceding project year (the actual amount used on each budget item).
  3. Updated/revised budget for the remaining project period.
  4. Confirmation of payment details.

The final report consists of only 1 and 2.

When you have submitted the report package, all elements are reviewed by a programme manager at the foundation. If any revisions or elaborations are needed, you will receive a message regarding this through LANAS.

When all elements in the report are approved, the next instalment will be paid out automatically.

Compliance

To receive funding from the Lundbeck Foundation you must accept the general terms and conditions. The terms and conditions outline that as a grant holder you are required to submit an annual report (described above) regarding the status and progress of the project.

What happens if the annual reporting by a grant holder is not submitted?

  • Any pending instalments will be withheld until the reporting is submitted and approved.
  • The grant holder will be ineligible for application of LF grants (either as a principal investigator or a co-investigator) until the reporting is submitted and approved.

If a grant holder continuously does not comply with the general terms and conditions, the Foundation is entitled to require repayment of funds already paid out.

Exceptions

In some circumstances reporting will not be possible on time, due to e.g. parental leave, sick leave, etc. Grant holders have a responsibility to keep their research organisation, and the Lundbeck Foundation informed of any such changes.

Reporting is vital to evaluate impact

Submitted data are analysed and used to report to the Lundbeck Foundation committees, the Board of Directors, and the national authorities regarding the impact of the foundation’s support in research.

It is vital that researchers return information to us on their funded projects so we can understand the short- and long-term impact of their research, thus demonstrating the contribution to the research environment and to society.

Data submitted to the Lundbeck Foundation through LANAS may also be made available in an aggregated format through the Foundation’s homepage, raising the visibility of research to the public and potential collaborators.
