Programmable Blood-Derived Cells as Trojan Horses for Brain Drug Delivery
Associate Professor
Aarhus University
This project develops a new type of cell therapy for brain diseases using engineered immune cells that live in the brain and release therapeutic proteins only when needed. Combining gene therapy and synthetic biology, the therapy can be precisely controlled, activated only at the right place and time, opening new treatment possibilities for brain cancer and other neurological disorders.
