A deep look at the psychedelic receptor! Using brain scans to measure serotonin 2A receptor levels and brain function, scientists aim to understand whether the amount of the receptor shapes the way our brains work and whether it shapes effects of psilocybin. This work could help make psilocybin therapy better and help us understand how this psychedelic brain receptor impacts the human brain.
